- Is progress measured forward or backwards? It’s necessary to spend time to determine where you are in comparison to where you want to be. Where you are must be lined up with your visions of where you want to be. It’s not unusual to feel a pull when facing this acknowledgement time. One side is productive, and one side is disheartening.
- Set smaller shrinkable goals. Continue to reach towards your larger goals, but begin with smaller, reachable steps that can be measured. Move from point two to point three instead of from point two to ten. Your confidence and hope increases when reaching for smaller, reachable goals.
- Take a look at your progress. You’re looking to give yourself positive instead of negative reinforcement here. Where were you six months ago? Your confidence increases when you compare where you were to where you are now. Through this process, you might see progress that you didn’t even realize you had made.
