We are reactors. Life and our upbringing program us to be reactors. We respond to circumstances imposed on us. From this, we take our cues and set out to improve the quality of our reactions. While this may seem fine, we are faced with one challenge. With this mindset, we are not positioned to create the life we want.
The alternative. The alternative is “Creative Orientation” where action is organized around creation and not the circumstances. The focus changes, and we are now bringing something desired into being instead of eliminating unwelcome problems. In the beginning, the problem disappears because of the actions taken to remove it. However, the original actions go away with the symptoms. In time, though, the same problem will come back.
Your life plan will triumph. As we create, the problems are outgrown. We see past the problems and begin to create. Removing the problems has not resulted in getting what we want. A life plan will help to organize our lives around what matters to us. At that point, we can focus on creating what we aspire to bring into being. The final result? Happiness and fulfillment.
