and Be Fit to Create What You Want in Life
HABIT #1: EAT WHAT YOU WANT. This sound crazy? It’s not. When you buy diet-marketed foods, 99% of what you eat isn’t good for you. It’s full of content that backfires later on. Do a fridge audit – throw out anything you’ve been buying that you can’t stand eating. Remake your grocery list with foods you love. When you starve yourself of what you want, your body stores more fat, you get hungry and gorge yourself into a larger size.
HABIT #2: WHEN YOU’RE HUNGRY, EAT! We organize our diets around our work instead of our choices. Stop! When you wait hours and hours delaying yourself the need to eat, your body’s blood sugar drops and drops. Then, when you eat, it compensates by going through the roof, insulin crash!!! Then your insulin levels have nowhere better to go than to create more fat! When you feel the need, EAT! Don’t starve; you’re telling your body to store up more of the same when you don’t feed yourself. Graze throughout the day – eat 5 times, and don’t eat after 8:00 pm at night! You won’t be hungry later if you eat 5 times during the day, and eat well!
HABIT #3: WHEN YOU EAT, EAT MINDFULLY. When you chew, put your fork and knife down. Savor your bites! Taste the food; don’t just bolt through your meal. Put your technology down. Stop talking! Just focus on the food, not screens, while eating. Eat mindfully and chew your food well – it aids your digestion! Make 60% of your daily intake protein, 20% carbs, and 20% fat. If you love flour and sugar, have 1 day per week to blow it, and enjoy it to satisfy your urge. But when you eat it, enjoy it!
HABIT #4: WHEN YOU FEEL FULL, STOP! Don’t eat with your eye balls – eat with your stomach signals. Try eating blind-folded – notice that you’ll regulate your eating by what your stomach tells you. Let go of leaving food on your plate. Just pay attention to your tummy’s signals to stop when full!
Just focusing on these 4 habits has kept my weight in a long term normal level over time. I’ve noticed also that you get much better sleep when you’re operating this way, which then fosters greater and greater health, alertness, and wellness!
